Manuscript Requirements for Elementary Education Journal

  1. Articles must be based on original research in the field of education and teaching at the elementary level (Elementary School or Elementary Teacher Education/PGSD).

  2. Manuscripts should be written in Indonesian, 3,000–6,000 words in length (excluding the abstract and references), single-spaced, using Calibri font. Author information must be listed below the title (Name without degree, Affiliation, City, Country, Email, Phone number). Submissions are accepted only through the Nur Science Institute online journal system.

  3. An abstract in English (150–250 words) is required, including the research purpose, methods, findings, implications, and novelty. It must be single-spaced and followed by keywords that reflect the article’s substance.

  4. Manuscripts must follow the structure below (without numbering):

  • Title

  • Author(s) (name without academic titles), Affiliation, Email

  • Abstract (in English)

  • Keywords

  • Main text, consisting of: Introduction; Research Methods; Results; Discussion; and Conclusion

  • References

Introduction must include background, research problem, review of relevant prior studies, research gap, and research objectives (including significance).
Methods must cover research design, data and data sources (population and sample), instrument development, pilot study, data collection, data validation, and data analysis.
Results and Discussion should present new findings, comparisons with prior related studies (state of the art), and logical explanations for similarities or differences.
Conclusion must provide a concise answer to the research problem, note research limitations, and offer recommendations for future studies.

  1. Figures, charts, and tables must follow these rules:

  • Adjust to page size.

  • Titles of figures and charts are centered below the image and numbered consecutively.

  • Titles of tables are centered above the table and numbered consecutively.

  • Table format must follow the template.

  1. Citation Notes:

  • Each book citation must include the page number, e.g., (Sutrisno, 2015:13).

  • References must be from recent publications (within the last 10 years): 10% from books and 90% from journals or online proceedings.

  1. Manuscripts must be submitted no later than one (1) month prior to publication through the online system at: https://journal.nurscienceinstitute.id/index.php/eej

  2. Authors are required to upload a Turnitin plagiarism check report (PDF) as a “Supplementary File.” The similarity index must not exceed 25%.

  3. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be provided online. Authors are expected to regularly check the status of their submission through their account.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors must ensure compliance with the following requirements. Submissions not adhering to these guidelines may be returned to the author:

1. The article has not been published previously and is not under review by another journal.
2. The article is prepared in Microsoft Word format.
3. During the review process, the author’s identity remains unknown to the reviewer.
4. The article is formatted according to the provided template.
5. The article has been checked with Turnitin and shows a similarity index of no more than 25%.
6. References are formatted using a citation manager (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).
