Burnout is a critical psychological phenomenon within public sector organizations, particularly in healthcare service institutions. This study examines the partial and simultaneous effects of role conflict, role ambiguity, and cyberloafing on burnout among 47 employees at the Sungai Penuh City Health Office using a total sampling technique. A primary novelty of this research is the positioning of cyberloafing as an adaptive coping mechanism rather than a purely destructive behavior. Employing a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis, the results demonstrate that role conflict and role ambiguity have positive and significant impacts on burnout. Conversely, cyberloafing exerts a significant negative influence on burnout, indicating its role in mitigating workplace exhaustion. Simultaneously, these three variables significantly affect burnout. These findings offer strategic implications for public sector human resource management in designing role-clarity policies and proportional internet usage regulations as preventive measures against employee burnout.
