The digital payment transformation in Indonesia is accelerating rapidly with the adoption of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) as the national standard. Although QRIS user growth has been significant, a gap remains in understanding the mechanisms behind this technology’s adoption. This study aims to analyze the influence of Ease of Use and Performance Expectations on Actual QRIS Usage Behavior through Behavioral Intention as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 201 active QRIS users in Cirebon City via a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that Usability and Performance Expectations significantly and positively influence Actual Usage Behavior, with Performance Expectations having a stronger effect. However, Behavioral Intention did not mediate this relationship, suggesting that practical needs and habits influence QRIS usage more than conscious intentions. These findings have important implications for regulators and service providers in optimizing strategies to increase QRIS adoption by emphasizing the system’s functional benefits and ease of use.
