Focus and Scope

Qurseey is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship on the Qur’an and its engagement with the humanities and social sciences. The journal aims to promote rigorous, critical, and methodologically sound research that bridges classical Islamic intellectual traditions with contemporary academic inquiry.

Qurseey seeks to foster scholarly dialogue that situates the Qur’an not only as a foundational religious text, but also as a dynamic source of meaning in social, cultural, psychological, ethical, political, and educational contexts. The journal encourages contributions that engage both with the internal traditions of Qur’anic interpretation and with broader theoretical, historical, and empirical frameworks within the humanities and social sciences.

Through this interdisciplinary approach, Qurseey aims to contribute to global academic debates on religion, society, and meaning, while maintaining high standards of scholarly integrity, analytical depth, and academic independence.
