Corrections, Retractions, and Manuscript Withdrawal
The Journal of Halal Industry Studies is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. This policy follows the COPE Core Practices.
1. Corrections
A correction may be published when an error is identified in a published article but does not invalidate its main findings or conclusions. The correction notice will explain the change and link to the article concerned.
2. Retractions
An article may be retracted if evidence shows that its findings are unreliable or that serious publication misconduct has occurred, such as plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate publication, or a substantial error. The editor will make a decision based on the available evidence. Authors are normally given an opportunity to respond, and the relevant institution may be contacted where necessary.
A retraction notice will state the reason for retraction and link to the original article. Where technically possible, the article will remain accessible and be clearly marked as retracted.
3. Manuscript Withdrawal Before Publication
Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript before publication must submit a written request to the editorial office and explain their reasons. They must not submit the same manuscript to another journal until they have received official confirmation that the withdrawal has been approved. After publication, concerns about an article will be addressed through the correction or retraction procedures.
4. Editorial Responsibilities
Decisions on corrections, retractions, and manuscript withdrawals are handled objectively and transparently. The editorial office considers the available evidence, gives relevant parties an opportunity to respond, and publishes appropriate notices so readers can identify the status of an article.
