Implementasi Literasi Keagamaan Berbasis Toleransi dalam Kegiatan Sosial

Studi Kasus di Dusun Dayaan, Desa Sidorejo Kidul, Kecamatan Tingkir, Kota Salatiga

Abstract

Indonesia is characterized by extensive religious, ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversity, making the promotion of tolerance an essential component in maintaining social harmony within a multicultural society. This study aims to analyze the implementation of tolerance values in socio-religious activities in Dusun Dayaan, Sidorejo Kidul Village, Tingkir District, Salatiga City, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors and their implications for community social life. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving religious leaders, community leaders, village officials, and local residents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The trustworthiness of the data was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, member checking, and an audit trail. The findings indicate that the implementation of tolerance values is reflected in mutual respect among religious communities, active community participation in socio-religious activities, and collaboration in various community-based activities, including gotong royong (mutual cooperation), condolence visits, community deliberations, and the celebration of religious holidays. The implementation of tolerance is supported by the active roles of religious and community leaders, a strong culture of mutual cooperation, and a high level of social awareness among community members. Meanwhile, the identified inhibiting factors are relatively limited and can be effectively addressed through communication and deliberative consensus. This study concludes that the implementation of tolerance values in socio-religious activities contributes significantly to strengthening social harmony, enhancing community solidarity, and fostering peaceful interreligious coexistence. The findings further suggest that community-based socio-religious activities constitute an effective mechanism for promoting religious moderation and reinforcing social cohesion within a multicultural society.
